About the event

Yoga Nidra is similar to guided meditation; to practice, all you need is a quiet space where you can rest comfortably without interruption. This practice is designed to support you as you get to know yourself better—becoming quiet, and attuning to your inner experience. It has been shown to reduce anxiety and promote healing.


Yoga Nidra helps the body shift out of the sympathetic nervous system's fight-or-flight response and into the rest-and-digest (parasympathetic) state, where your body and mind can be at rest and repair damage at a cellular level .


This is a gift you can give yourself any time.


While it is an especially helpful tool for the writerly-inclined to get out of our thinking brains, Ignite Your Write is happy to share this practice with everyone—all are welcome to join this free community offering.
